For the last couple weeks we’ve been setting up an online store. When it’s up, you’ll be able to find all your favorite If Only brands online. The site will sell everything that you see in the store. keep checking in, it should be up soon.
We’ve got fins. Lots of fins. Flex fins, performance fins, nose riding fins, pivot fins -you need one. And no, they are no longer called skegs. Fin is the appropriate term. Fins are unlike putting “rims” on your car. While they do look cool, they are also super functional. Do it.

Here’s a little history on the nifty turning device.
The surfboard fin is a stabilizing strut fixed to the rear of the surfboard to prevent it from sliding sideways. In the early days, surfers would stabilize the board by hanging the toes of their back foot over the edge of the board and would steer by putting their foot in the water. The innovation of a skeg in 1936 —by either or both of Woody “Spider” Brown or Tom Blake— revolutionized surfing, allowing surfers to direct the board’s momentum and providing more balance whilst turning. The template of the modern surfboard fin was developed by George Greenough in the 1960s.

We got out this morning for the little incoming swell. Longboards and summer suits. Man it was fun. Sometimes you just gotta have the right board for the conditions. You could have maybe ridden a shortboard, but the waves were mushy and small. On the longboards however it was perfect. Like an all you can eat buffet. We’ve got a few longboards in stock and some more on the way. We also just got a shipment of fins -lots of sizes and style. And since it’s t-shirt weather….

Hey yay yay. Yes, we’ve got them in finally. Beautiful and 100% handmade longboards. Timmy Patterson sent use three longboards -two performance and one resin tinted beauty the bridges the gap between performance and old school. He send along a beautiful 7′0″ egg for those of you looking for paddle power without the length of a longboard.
