We are entering what is usually the low swell season and doing so with a bang. Check out the models for the next couple of days. In the meantime and inbetween time stop in and see what’s new in the shop, grab some wax, a leash or whatever else you need.
Spring is upon us and we all know what that means in Nova Scotia. Rain and more rain. Not to worry though. We’ve got you covered with Patagonia’s ultralight Torrentshell Jacket. Yours truly picked one up last week and I can say that along with it being breathable and waterproof it is also windproof.
There’s also a rad selection of Patagonia lids for your head tops and some rad T’s. Stop by any time and see for yourselves.
Here’s a preview of some of the prints that Yazzy will be showing at his opening.
“Yassine Ouhilal’s images have graced the covers of the world’s most coveted publications. Over the last 10 years, he has traveled the world extensively as an editorial photographer. Thawscapes will show some of Ouhilal’s most personal work. These images from the arctic regions of the world are an honest portrayal of the impacts of global warming on the far north. While some glaciers Ouhilal photographed are receding at alarming rates-many of which will be entirely gone in our lifetime, the thawed spaces left in these glaciers wake are revealed for the first time in recent geologic times.”
Art opening Friday March 12th 7:00-9:00pm at Argyle Fine Art
1869 Upper Water St.

Then he went on to get a PhD. and later a law degree and he still wore the same purple Patagonia jacket on our morning dawn patrols. The company is well known not only for its formidable quality and craftsmanship but also for pioneering the way for sustainable business models the 1% for the Planet initiative.
So we are proud to announce that If Only Surf Shop will be a Patagonia dealer starting this year. We will carry women’s and men’s clothes as well as Patagonia’s famous limestone and wool wetsuits. Our first Patagonia shipment should be arriving sometime this month so be sure to stop in.
Well it’s no secret that there should be some sizable surf this week. But like always, hopes must be tempered by the fact that local winds and tides, plus work hours, can have a devastating effect on our ability to score surf. In the meantime and in between time we like to keep our boards ding free and waxed ‘n ready just in case the stars align. One other down time activity could be getting your gazillion-dollar winter suit to smell fresh like spring. Here’s one way:
